A few months ago I headed to the Goodwill to pick up a picture frame to turn into a chalkboard for our entry way. I brought it home painted the frame a light green and the inside portion with chalkboard paint. Purchased a chalkboard pen, and wrote "Happy New Year 2011." Little did I know that it would not erase completely, leaving a permanent "Happy New Year 2011" message. So, today I finally dug the frame out of the laundry/craft area and decided it was time to fix this little mistake. I whipped out the chalkboard paint and ta-da, repainted it again. This time I know a trick to fix this little mistake. Wait 24 hours for it to dry, then use chalk to cover the entire area, erase and then feel free to use it. I didn't wait 24 hours and I didn't cover the entire area with chalk - so now I know!
