My sister and her two boys popped in this last Saturday for a visit. Aren't they just the cutest. Pearce was inside hanging out with daddy on this fall day while Kendra and I took the boys on a bike ride around the block. These boys LOVE each other - so fun!

Maybe I am just now realizing the reality of having three little boys - we are busy x3. This week Todd and I were talking about how we can't even keep things straight - dates, times, and our kids names (ok, that's not entirely true - we know their names we just like to call Pearce, Caed and Caed, Noah and Noah, Pearce, once in awhile.) Today I thought it was Thursday and picture day at school. I had the boys all prepared and didn't realize that it was only Wednesday until I dropped Caed off to preschool this afternoon. Oh my! I must be distracted this week - distracted by our busy life, grieved to see people hurting, tired from lack of sleep and a sense of longing in my heart. I am reminded daily right now to call out to God.

Caed needed a project to keep his little hands and mind busy so I whipped out the paints and attempted to paint one of our pumpkins like a candy corn.
We went from painting the pumpkin to painting rainbows.
The perfect way to spend a beautiful fall day!

Two weekends ago I loaded up the boys and headed to Puyallup to hit the pumpkin patch. Todd had to work so my two lovely neighbor girls, Grace and Amanda, came along. It was great to have some extra helpers! It was a perfect fall day - the sun was out, Mt. Rainier was in the distance, we went on a hay ride, ate some kettle corn and the boys loved climbing on the tractor. Pearce LOVED the pumpkins. He kept making little grunting noises, it was so funny. Have you hit the pumpkin patch yet?

I saw this on Pinterest (if you don't know about Pinterest you are missing out! It is fabulous.) and had to do it this year. I just love the fall colors but I especially love the simplicity of it.
My friend Kirsten and I ran to Jo-Ann's late one night to collect what we needed and then we got together the next morning to start in on our little fall project. Thankfully our boys did wonderful as we worked hard wrapping yarn around the wreath and learning how to make felt flowers - which I loved doing! It was such a fun wreath to make and I think I want to do a few more. Let me know if you want me to make you one;)
Here is my finished simple fall wreath = love!
