I Needed a Reminder Today...

I needed to be reminded today that God is sovereign. He is in control and desires the best He has for us, not what we think is the best for us but, what He knows is best for us. So, I put that reminder in our entry way so that Todd and I will be reminded daily. God only does what is GOOD, RIGHT and PERFECT!

Brothers in a Box

They don't need toys...just a cardboard box. They crack me up!

Bedroom Switcharoo

If you know me, you know that I love change.  I enjoy painting and moving furniture around so that I can have lots of change, whenever I feel antsy and need something new to happen (don't analyze that too much please!) The other day I thought it was time to switch bedrooms with the boys. Todd and I have officially reclaimed the larger of the three downstairs bedrooms with a nicer closet. It is so nice to have some extra space! So, now that we have switched rooms I have a lot of work to do - repainting, wall repairs, reconfiguring curtains, hanging pictures and more decorating to be done. What can I say? I just love change.
Obviously the light fixture needs to be switched out - a little too girly and romantic for the boys:)

Spring Cleaning

Ok, it may not really feel like spring outside but we have been hard at work getting things organized around here in the Chamberlain house. I got to work organizing my kitchen drawers and installing a magnetic knife organizer - which I love! It just makes things so much easier, especially since I do a lot of cooking and entertaining. Although, it does give me the creeps a little bit to see all of those weapons hanging from the side of my cabinet - apparently, the Hunger Games books are getting to me.

A "Sprinkle" for baby Levi

Last week we celebrated Katie and her soon to arrive baby, Levi. This is her second baby boy and we are so excited to meet him! We gathered for happy hour at Masa on 6th Avenue here in Ttown. I created felt flowers to pin on your clothes or in your hair. Everyone looked so cute sportin' their flowers. It was a great night being together and celebrating Katie and baby Levi.

Mustache Bib and Felt Booties

My friend, Katie, is expecting her second baby boy so I whipped up a couple of cute gift ideas that I found on Pinterest (of course!) They were both super easy. I've included the links to both in case you feel inspired and feel like creating your own.

Coffee, Baby!

Todd works at Starbucks each morning before he heads off to work construction. So, it's not surprising that all of our boys are very aware of what comes in these cups. Pearce is just copying mommy and daddy, what can I say? We train em' early here in the northwest:)

Placemat Pillow

I was at Target a few weeks ago and they had some adorable placemats on clearance for a $1.25. So I snagged this one and decided to turn it into a throw pillow for our family room. It's so easy! Just take apart one 3 inch section of the seam and stuff away. You can either hand stitch it closed or use your sewing machine. I hand stitched this one because it was just too fluffy. Make sure to purchase a placemat with a fabric front and back.

10 Years of Marriage

Yesterday we had our 10 year wedding anniversary. Wow, does time fly by. I was 22 when we got married and Todd was 21. We had a very traditional wedding at the church that Todd's family was a part of in North Seattle. It was a super fun day! We were surrounded by people that we loved and everything went as planned. I am so thankful for my best friend and all the crazy times we have had together so far. Life is a story and we enjoy seeing God's story come to life daily.

Next weekend we are headed downtown Seattle to celebrate our 10 years (without our boys!) Yipee.
